Known as "Champ Soleil", this 17-century French-inspired residence was built in 1929 and is situated on 5.5 acres of land on famed Bellevue Avenue in
Newport, RI. One of the last grand houses to be built during the
Gilded Age, it was commissioned for the wealthy founders of modern-day JP Morgan with construction by
Polhemus & Coffin and interior design by
Maison Jansen of Paris.
